There was only one second-round game last night when Game 3 of the series between the Colorado Avalanche and the St. Louis Blues was scheduled in the National Hockey League.
Here is a summary of this match and its best moments.
1. Avalanche take a 2-1 series lead with a 5-2 win
Jared Bednar’s squad bounced back nicely last night after escaping Game 2 against the Blues entirely.
The Avalanche won 5-2 in a showy game with several goals and forceful clashes.
Indeed, two players had to leave the match during the match due to injuries.
First, Jordan Binnington left the game due to a collision with his defenseman Calle Rosen, as well as Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri.

It’s a streak that leaves room for debate as both players collide with Binnington. Did Kadri willingly defraud himself? I don’t think so, but you never know that we are still talking about Nazem Kadri.
Something about Nazem Kadri and playing the Blues in the playoffs…

I’ll let you make up your own mind about the streak, just like the people on social media who are currently on fire.
Nobody pushed anybody, Rosen was skating to the left side of the net, Kadri was skating to the right side, they collided and both ended up going into Binnington pic.twitter.com/PEPL2vW9v4

Kadri is 100% open if it wasn’t for Rosen. I’m not a fan of Kadri at all but this is not a dirty play, he’s going for the puck and unfortunately the two players got tangled up and collided with Binnington. No need to throw away water bottles! pic.twitter.com/ASJZegP2GW

The truth is that Binnington was really cursed against Kadri.
In fact, during Kadri’s post-match interview, Binnington threw a water bottle in Kadri’s direction.
“I’m not sure if he just threw a bottle of water at me” 😳
It appears that Nazem Kadri had a water bottle thrown at him while discussing the collision with Binnington 🔎 pic.twitter.com/LxqQCF3B1v #NHL

A situation that Kadri commented on again later in the evening.
“I think it was (Jordan) Binnington.” -Nazem Kadri believes that he was the #stlblues bouncer who threw a bottle of water at him during his post-match interview on live television.

The other player to leave the game during the match was Samuel Girard. The latter received a good check from Ivan Barbashev, and therefore had to go to the hospital.
Later that night, news broke that Girard’s season had ended due to a broken sternum.
This is a VERY big loss for the Avalanche, as Girard is one of their very good and reliable defenders.
This was supposed to go here, but I think I clicked on the wrong thread… https://t.co/ICo5pEV2Ba

The rest of the series will be very interesting.

The Blues did not challenge the goal for offside, which seems rather strange to me when I watch the sequence below.
Here’s as good a view as we get of Manson’s possible offsides on O’Connor’s goal: https://t.co/WKjlDDqQmU pic.twitter.com/umijDv6Be6

What a shot from Artturi Lehkonen! (yes, yes Lehkonen!).
Bend and break.
That’s all it took for Artturi Lehkonen to win the shot of the night. 🎯 #Stanley Mug

Gabriel Landeskog and Artturi Lehkonen completed the scoring by each scoring a goal on an empty goal.
The next few games in this series will be one to watch very closely.
